* I explained in the Flight Sim Forum that the MKII WCS only supports
single character outputs. This is the reason that programs such as Xwing
Red Baron, Aces of the Pacific, Air Warrior and Aces over Europe do
not work properly when you attempt to program the upper button
functions. They are looking for continuous signals. This can be gotten
around by plugging the joystick directly into the first joystick port
and the MKII WCS into the second for games that support Thrusmaster.
This however doesn't help for games such as Doom, in which the slide
or strafe function of the upper button will not work and still allow you
to program the other buttons while attached to the MKII WCS. The cure for
this problem is to contact Thrustmaster for a wiring diagram which allows
you to either install a switch to selectively enable / disable the upper
button or just jump the connections to permanently disable the progamable
function of the upper button. This is not a great disadvantage in any
games that support joysticks, as most games give some function to the
second button of a standard two button joystick. I hope this is some help
to those like me who can't seem to play anything anymore, without my
Thrusmaster setup!
